Services & Programs

SHOWERS:
No appointments allowed. For men and women. Fifteen-minute shower period per client. New clients are given priority over returning clients. Morning slots filled beginning at 9:30 A.M. Showers offered from 9:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Showers offered from 9:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday and Saturday.

CLOTHING:
Homeless individuals may receive clothing every day as available. Families and individuals in need but not homeless can receive clothing once every two months. The Center carries primarily informal clothing including jeans, sweatshirts, blouses, shirts, t-shirts, socks, shoes, underwear, socks, and jackets.  Suits and other business attire are also available on occasion.

SNACKS & EMERGENCY FOOD:
Available snacks are served from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. and from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. daily. Client must be actively seeking other services to participate. For out-of-town clients, food may be prepared on a case-by-case basis.

FOOD BANK:
Operates at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at 9:00 A.M. on Saturdays in front of the church at 6657 Sunset Boulevard.

HAIRCUTS:
Offered every Thursday from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

RENTAL AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE:
Client must be a Hollywood resident and demonstrate an emergency need. Intake necessary with required paperwork provided. Home visit. Check issued to landlord or Utility Company directly when funds are available.

GAS ASSISTANCE FUND & ENERGY ASSISTANCE FUND:
Countywide program offered to low-income clients of Southern California Gas Company and Southern California Edison. Program runs from mid-February to late April (or until program funding depleted). Clients seeking assistance must call in advance for an appointment.

HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AND FURNITURE:
For Hollywood residents. Limited supply. Home visit required.

LEGAL CLINIC:
Offered once each month. Free and open to the public. Topics vary.

L.A. COMMISSION ON ASSAULTS AGAINST WOMEN:
Free bilingual information, counseling and referral to clients in abusive relationships. Mondays and Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.

TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM:
Tokens and taxi vouchers distributed on an as needed basis when available.

ALCOHOL AND DRUGS REHABILITATION PROGRAM:
Available at all times upon request.

COMMUNITY SERVICES:
High School students and Court referrals (no violent offenders accepted) participate in the centers’ activities as part of their community service.

REFERRAL INFORMATION:
Appointment preferred, but not essential. The Center provides referral to a wide variety of agencies in Los Angeles County.
